Will I have to buy vegetables I don't want?

Shopping at Heirloom Living Market gives you the selection of a traditional Farmers’ Market from the comfort of your home! You can browse the available products and order what you want, in the quantities that you want, from the farms that you want.

You will receive a weekly email telling you about new products, featured products of the week, Group Buy opportunities that are available or are coming available. The email will also include a link to the Heirloom Living Market so you can shop immediately!

Some people prefer to purchase a variety of veggies and those choices will be available. In addition, Doug’s Garden and The Veggie Patch at Bouchard Farms are making Produce Boxes available. The selection will change with the seasons and with what is available to harvest on any given Wednesday, which is our Harvest Day!

The “expected list” of Veggies that could be in the Boxes will be included as a regular feature of the Newsletter as well as being listed on the Market Page.

Please understand that the Farmers create the Produce Boxes from the Harvest that is available on our delivery day, Wednesday. If Mother Nature has not cooperated, other items may be substituted.

When do I pay?

We accept cash, checks, credit or debit cards when you pick up your order. We are charged 3% for any credit or debit card transactions and if you choose to use these methods of payment we must add 3% to your total.

Because we may have to adjust your total then (to account for extra items you decide to purchase from the Farmers’ Sale Table at Market Pickup or items that were unexpectedly unavailable), we do not accept advance payment on the website.

Why Support Locally Grown?

Enhance your local economy: By purchasing produce and other items from local growers you are providing stability to your local economy through the support of local businesses.

Save natural resources: Buying locally makes you an invaluable link in the process of saving resources such as fossil fuels and packaging materials. Also, we are right here in your community so the expense of transportation and delivery is kept to a minimum.

Provide learning opportunities: Locally Grown supporters provide member growers the means to help educate our community about the importance of sustainable agriculture.

Supporting a way of life: The number of small farms in the United States has decreased dramatically in the last decade. Please help us preserve an honest and worthy means of making a living.

We believe that small, diverse, family-owned farms contribute to society’s overall health.

How can I sell through this market?

If you’ve already created a customer account here, simply go to Our Growers and click on ‘If you would like to sell through this market, please tell us about yourself and a market manager will contact you.’.

This will add you to our system and our market managers will contact you with the next step. We do charge 10% of your overall sales. Like at a traditional farmers’ market, you do get to set your own prices and describe your items as you wish.

Please read the Grower Guidelines to see if the Market would be a good “fit” prior to applying to become a Grower. Grower Guidelines

How can the Market offer 'raw milk'?

The state of Georgia has banned the sale of raw milk for human consumption through its interpretation of the Georgia Dairy Act of 1980 and also through its adoption of the 2003 version of the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance.

The sale of raw milk for animal consumption is legal if the distributor is licensed under the Department of Agriculture commercial feed laws.

Both Cedar Rock Dairy and Little Tot’s Estate are licensed to sell raw milk for pet consumption.

What if I cannot pick up my order?

It is important to call us if you are unable to pickup your order. You can reach Maryanne at 404-432-4337 or Mary at 404-245-2919.

We are not inflexible – we understand that “Life Happens” and we will do everything we can to make arrangements with you so that picking up your items does not become added stress when you have an emergency! Remember, you need to let us know!

We pay the Farmers/Growers/Artisans for you when they deliver your order. If orders are not picked up, the amount of the order comes from our pockets. For this reason, your account will be charged for the order even if you do not pick it up.

All unclaimed items at the close of Market are donated to Market Volunteers or the Food Bank close to our pickup location. Legally, we are NOT permitted to store any items!

Failure to pick up your order twice, will necessitate keeping a credit card on file for future orders.
